Volatile Organic Compounds - Rapid Air Monitor
Gradko’s new range of Rapid Air Monitors (RAMs) brings together the ease of passive sampling with the added advantage of very short monitoring periods.
The Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) Rapid Air Monitor is an ideal personal air monitor, allowing sampling of exposure to pollution in the low parts per million range. With sampling times from as little as 4 hours, the user can quickly identify the levels of potentially hazardous VOC pollution without the need to hire a pump.
This sampler can be used to detect hydrocarbons in the range C6 to C16 plus additional compounds including Trichloroethylene, Tetrachloroethylene and others. Various semi-quantitative and quantitative analysis options are available.
Additionally the VOC RAM enables the user to easily identify particularly high levels of outdoor ambient air pollution, for example in the vicinity of a chemical spill.
Need longer monitoring periods? Try our sorbent tubes for sampling periods of 1-4 weeks.
The VOC RAM is analysed on a 5 working day turnaround as standard. Additionally we can offer next working day or same working day analysis by prior arrangement with the laboratory.

The following compounds are available for quantitative analysis as standard:
- Ethyl benzene
- 1,2,4-trimethyl benzene
- Trichloroethylene (TCE)
- Tetrachloroethylene (PCE)
- Methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE)
- n-butyl Acetate
Other compounds may be available for quantitative analysis. A quotation will be provided upon request following agreement of compounds to be analysed.
